Atlanta Motorsports Park Restructures the Track

Atlanta Motorsports Park is planning to build a new green world-class track. Hermann Tilke, famous Formula 1 track designer was invited to do the job. This is the first U.S. project for German design company Tilke Engineers & Architecture.

This Park in Georgia claims to be “a private country club for fast, exotic cars and bikes”, but it wants to grow by restructuring and “greening” itself. Thanks to the new track the Atlanta Motorsports Park will be “the only green/sustainable/eco-friendly motorsports park in the world”.

The administration of the Park decided to chose Tilke because of their more than 20-year experience on this field. The German firm established in 1984 has been developing tracks in Singapore, Istambul, Valencia, Shanghai, Nürburgring and many other famous racing places. All Formula 1 tracks in the last ten years have been designed ans restructured by them.

The grand opening of the track will be very soon: on July 30 the visitors are welcome at Hennessy Porsche in Roswell, the town near Atlanta. It is going to be a big show with racing celebrities, commentator from Speed Channel Bob Varsche and Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Michael Jenkins.
