Limited Edition Supercar Tramontana R

Tramontana is a new European auto manufacturer that has Italian origin, but is located in Spain. It designs luxury sports cars. This year it presents a high-power supercar concept named Tramantana R.

The car is powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine from Mercedes. It has a rear-wheel drive and six-speed sequential clutch. For the beginning Tramontana offers a top speed of 202 mph, which will probably be push up later. Originally the supercar outputs 720 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque, but if it is not needed the driver can turn a switch to get only 550 hp.

The previous edition wheelbase was redesigned and shortened. It is equipped with 20-inch carbon-fiber and magnesium wheels, adjustable suspension, carbon ceramic brake discs, and Brembo calipers. Wheels remain open which makes the suspension arms visible.

Tramontana R looks like a blend of cars from Formula 1 and a fighter jet and overall reminds a spider. It can seat two persons one behind the other letting them get inside though the top that tips forward. The canopy can also be removed turning the supercar into a convertible.

The manufacturer plans to assemble 12 units of Tramontana R and asks $485,000 for each of them.
