Vehicle That Monitors Your Health

Just try to conceive that the engineers have designed a car which not only tells you that it needs oil change or fuel filling but also that you need to eat of that you can drink a cup of coffee or that you are too old to drive a car.
On this idea MIT AgeLab’s Aware Car is based. This vehicular Big Brother will cost you $1.5 million. For this money the car will monitor your heart rate, blood pressure, respiration and even the level of blood sugar. So you se this car is even wiser than your wife who just tells that you must keep yourself in shape.
Currently the Department of Transportation makes significant investments into the research as according to the Census Bureau in the next 40 years the number of elderly drivers will increase from 35 to 87 million.
The main idea of the Aware Car (which obviously will not turn into a commercial vehicle in the next 20 years) is to spot elderly drivers who are not permitted to drive a car any more and must hang up their keys.
We don’t know whether this car will inform the DMV about old drivers who are becoming dangerous on the road or it will just warn such drivers that they are not capable to drive a car. This is a political question and there is no need to ask it within at least 25 years.
