360-degree Airbag System Protects Both Passengers and Pedestrians

Looking at the car equipped with 360-degree airbag system designed and manufactured by Toyota Gosei, the company supplying Toyota with auto-parts I could help remembering the film Demolition Man” with Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes and Sandra Bullock performing the main parts. Do you remember the episode when Stallone crashes the car? Instead of deploying airbags this futuristic vehicle encased the passengers with some kind of foam.

The 360-degree airbag system also seems fantastic as it deploys the airbags at all impact points that can only be conceived. The airbags are deployed even on the car’s exterior thus protecting pedestrians from injuring.
Currently we don’t know when the new airbag system will be incorporated into commercials cars.
