The Smart Fortwo Gets High Safety Ratings

Tiny Smart car has received high safety ratings from insurance industry researchers. However at the same time they want to warn buyers about the risks they can meet driving small vehicles.
Test results show that the Smart Fortwo was given “goof” mark for its well organized frontal and side-impact crashes protection.
Smart’s rear seats and headrests were given the second-highest score for its ability to protect passengers from rear impacts.

Of course bigger cars are better overall but according to Adrian Lund, President of Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the engineers of the Smard did everything very well and managed to achieve a very high safety level and embody it into a very small package.
The restraint system of this tiny vehicle is better than in may other cars. Smart is a perfect car for those drivers who look for better fuel economy.
