VW Rabbit Was Highly Praised by Consumer Reports
According to Consumer Reports Volkswagen is going to oversell Toyota by 2015. it June issue CR has represented a few hatchbacks and the VW Rabbit turned to be the winner. This very vehicle was chosen out of other small hatchbacks owing to its interior splendid for this class, speed, transmission and breaking. The reliability of the car is also expected to be “above average”.
According to the experts the biggest drawback of VW Rabbit was its “so-so” fuel economy for a vehicle of its size. However it seems that a lot of SUV drivers would be happy with its 24 mpg consumption. Other drawbacks are engine lag after stops and the large C-pillars that block driver’s view.

Consumer Reports considers Mazda3 to be one of the best hatches but in overall scoring this car is only third behind the Toyota Prius Touring. Other praised hatchbacks are the newly redesigned Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe twins and Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. The Chevrolet HHR and the Dodge Caliber are at the bottom of the list.
