The Trucks Have Turned to be Too Expensive For Icelanders

The leviathan you can see it the image above is called “a jeep” by Icelanders. In the USA this tremendous vehicle would be called F-350 Super Duty or just “monster truck.” In Iceland these vehicles are used to explore regions difficult of access. Very often these monstrously-looking trucks help to connect people with civilization.

However a big problem is connected with these vehicles. The fact is Icelanders issue their own currency and now its free-fall is even worse than that of US dollar. With gas that costs almost $8 per gallon it takes around the $500 mark to feed the monster with it. Even more money Icelanders spend to get their trucks out if the ice. However all these problems don’t stop Icelanders as they just do not have a choice.
