SYNC is Acquiring a Powerful Rival – Chrysler’s UConnect Technology
Chrysler has just announced about their all-new UConnect communication system which seems to become an alternative to Ford’s Microsoft-powered SYNC system. The automaker is going to add the new technology to most if its 2009 models. UConnect is a name of the technology which will include voice recognition technology together with Bluetooth phone integration. You can input in the system not only your telephone data and address book and destinations but also you are able to change satellite radio stations and receive voice mail through the power of voice. Of course, the new system lacks many functions offered by SYNC, however it promises to become a good alternative for the said system in future.

Simultaneously Chrysler is going to equip its vehicles with in-car wireless internet connectivity which can turn your auto into a mobile hot spot. To connect the vehicle with Internet the technology will combine 4G broadband connectivity with WiFi. Just imagine that you can download your favourite movie of music you want or access your e-mail right in your vehicle.
MOPAR is a 2008 model which is already equipped with a device providing your car with internet access but of course the integrated system planned by the automaker for 2009 models will be more interesting.
