Ford’s “Global Project” – Redesigned Ford Focus
As it was announced by Derrick Kuzak, Ford’s product chief, during the SAE World Congress in Detroit the engineers of Ford Motor Company in the USA and abroad will cooperate to create the next generation Focus.

The redesigned vehicle will be based off the C1 platform used for current Euro Focus. The car will appear at the markets approximately in 2010 or even later.

According to the official, 87 % of all the parts for the new Ford will be sourced fro the company’s global parts bin. This will help to save money and speed up the globalization of the automaker’s engineering process.
The development of a new Ford Focus was rumored for a long time and only now we have received definite information.
Hopefully soon ST and RS variants of the Ford Focus will be available here, in the United States.
