Chrysler Employees are Furious about Mandatory Vacation

Recently Chrysler has taken a decision to give its employees the so called mandatory vacation. This means that the workers are granted two weeks of unpaid leisure. Many of Chrysler employees are furious about this and we can hardly blame them. The fact is most of the workers have already planned, arranged and paid their abroad vacation for July 7 – 21 and now they have either to cancel all the arrangements or take risk to go unpaid for two weeks.
According to the Freep this very decision of Chrysler managers was really a stupid one and that’s why it caused a public response.
The problem is Chrysler managers are often either not aware of their employees plans or just do not take them into account when making vacation schedule. It seems that these two parts of personnel exist separately and pay no attention to each other’s wishes and plans.
