A James Bond-style Vehicle for Drug Cartel

In Mexico members of one of big drug cartels used a very unusual vehicle trying to avoid arrest. It was a real Bond-style car stuffed with various gadgets.
After a shoot - out the car was left by the criminals. Imagine how surprised the police and army were when they sow gold-plated pistols, rocket launchers and powerful assault rifles owned by the criminals. But they were really shocked having come across a Jeep Grande Cherokee full of the most sophisticated anti-police gadgets.

The Jeep was very well equipped to prevent itself from being followed. For example, inside of the car there was a device to spray spikes onto the road behind and a smoke machine.
Currently the police do not know whether the car has been ever used against it.
Before leaving their vehicle the criminals have thrown a hand grenade.
The whole situation around drug cartels in the country is very serious. 300 people have become the victims of the violence connected with cartels’ activity this year.
There is nothing strange in the fact that drug cartels can afford to have such fantastic cars.  According to the official information the illegal business of such criminal organizations brings them $13bn (£6.5bn) annually.
Lately the authorities managed to arrest some leading persons of the gangs. Perhaps, this is one of the reasons why some criminals invest more and more money into sophisticated equipment to protect themselves.
