2010 Pontiac Sports Truck
More than two decades afterwards the El Camino is coming back just like a ghost that has risen from the grave. The resurrection is a long-awaited event, at least for American drivers. In Australia this car has never disappeared.

Today the Pontiac G8 is taking us into a new era of General Motors affordable car-based pickup trucks – the creators call it Ute.

For e few month rumors were flying about a new-coming G8 Ute and GMC Denali XT concept even was represented at the Chicago Auto Show.

Public saw a a four-door pickup equipped with a with a two-mode hybrid power-train. However currently we do not know exactly whether this concept will see production some day or not.

However we can assure you that the Pontiac G8 Sport Truck will be represented in showrooms next year. This vehicle has a 6-foot 2-inch long cargo bed behind rear passenger seats. If we compare it with sedan we’ll find that the newcomer’s wheelbase is four-inch longer.

The G8 can tow 3,500 lbs and haul almost 1,100 lbs.
