New Aston Martin Rapid Will Be Produced in Austria
Last year David Richards and his partners ought Aston Martin from Ford and their first decision after this was to make and launch the four-door Rapide. DB9’s platform was designed in such a way that it allows stretching in both length and width to make a derivative like DBS and the Rapide without involving large investments.

However, one annoying detail is connected with the Rapide. Aston Martin’s facilities situated in the UK are completely busy with production of the DB9, DBS and V8 Vantage.

In order to build a new car the company needs to find additional capacities and Magna Steyr has committed the breach. So a new manufacturing facility for Rapide production will be set up by Magna at its factory in Graz, Austria.

The new Aston Martin Plant will be built according to the standard scheme used at the Gaydon plant in the UK where other Aston models are made.
Late next year Graz Plant is planning to produce 2,000 Rapides.
