Tata Group Supports Jaguar F-Type

Do you remember Jaguar F-Type sports car represented long ago at the 2000 North American International Auto Show?  This year the long-shelved car backed by Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata, whose company is taking ownership of Jaguar and Land Rover this week has at last appeared at Geneva Motor Show.
Last Tuesday speaking to the journalists Tata said that he would be delighted if they had one in the range.

The chairman obviously has strong view about the car and he left no doubt to the listeners that his company is going to take the vehicle into production.
According to Tata his company is also intending to back Jaguar’s and Land Rover’s future model programs. This is proved by the fact that financing of these programs is included into the due diligence process the Tata Group.
Tata also said that the new models for Jaguar and Land Rover had won his backing as he liked what he sow and the new technologies impressed him greatly. Over the next few years the two brands will make major product investments Jaguar is currently in the process of updating the XJ sedan and is going to include the F-Type and an XF coupe into his lineup. A four-door XK and crossover SUV are currently under consideration.
Land Rover is going to make a switch to aluminum body construction for Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. At Solihull a small SUV is prepared for production.
