The new software is called Microsoft Auto. The author of it believes that this technology will go beyond the voice activation system for MP3 player, which is already offered as the Microsoft-powered Sync system. The concept will be taken behind Sync and OnStar and fused into all the programs in a car. The new systems will be able to perform any functions except driving the car themselves.

The program will be purely voice activated and it will provide the driver with real-time traffic information and directions to achieve the highest fuel efficiency as well as quickest and easiest route.
And that’s only the beginning of function list. With the help of the program you’ll be able to download music, avoid traffic jam and find the restaurant you need. All these technologies will be integrated into one seamless system.
In addition Microsoft allows your car to communicate with all other vehicles on the road. In theory this can help avoid accidents.
Of course this sounds very expensive. However Microsoft is going to reduce your expenses by means of advertising on your dashboard.
