Drivers Hesitate of Giving Up Control of Cars

People still feel fear to the cars that can do without them.
Market research firm Harris Interactive has provided a research which shows that most of new drivers want their cars be equipped with new crash-avoidance technology. At the same time they feel uncertain about giving up control of their cars.
Half of respondents said that they would certainly include blind-spot detection and a lane departure warning system in their next cars. Of course many of respondents have refused from these new technologies only because of their high prices - $600 and $400, respectively.
The fact is that drivers are almost not interested in technologies correcting the car automatically. This proves that most of the motorists want to keep control over their vehicles themselves. More than 80% of respondents say that an audible, visual or physical warning is enough for them and these systems help to drive a car greatly. So the motorists do not need other modern hi-tech systems which would correct a car if it drifts out of its lane.
