The 2007 Chrysler Pacifica Can be Recalled
The National Highway Traffic safety Administration investigators are examining 2007 Chrysler Pacificas powered by the 4.0-liter V6. They are very concerned that the car is prone to engine bay fires. The reason can be a cross-threaded power steering fitting designed to prevent proper sealing of the hydraulic system. The examination is caused by a number of warranty claims and complaints received by Chrysler. They report smoke and fire breaking out. These complaints prove that a power steering leak should really be to blame.

Chrysler knows about this problem which is specific to the Pasificas equipped with 4.0-liter engine. The company has traced the car to a tube nut on the high pressure power steering line. The results show that o-ring is prevented from sealing. To remove the drawback the company has put additional quality assurance and assembly processes in place. Chrysler also advices to car owners to monitor power steering fluid level listen for a noisy pump. These are major signs that show the degree of early warming before the car goes up in smoke. However, if NHTSA continue to see a drawback the 2007 Pacifica will obviously be recalled.
