Backup Cameras from Ford

Rearview camera system is very important on modern cars as it allows motorists to see what is going on behind the car. These devices are not new. However these technologies are rather expensive and many drivers require them to be standard in new cars. To answer this demand Ford is going to add a rearview camera as standard option to new models of Mazda, Ford and Lincoln.

Ford Backup Camera

Ford’s cameras differ greatly from those of other manufacturers. They place the image in the left-hand corner of the rearview mirror. Owing to this drivers can look at the image then at the mirror and back again jerking the head minimally. A very similar system of mirrors is designed for Hummer. Quite the opposite Toyota is provided with a small stand-alone screen mounted into the dash or the roof.
Ford’s device shows the drivers the direct path of the car helping them align the car with a trailer or par it in a tight parking spot.
According to reports, the 2008 F-150 King Ranch, F-Series Super Duty and Lincoln Mark LT pickups, as well as the Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator and Mazda CX-9 SUVs will offer backup cameras as optional.
