‘39 GM Futurliner
For the last time Barrett-Jackson auction reminded a performance in 2006 so exciting and interesting it was. That time a lot of noticeable cars were represented there. But none of them could be compared with the admiration caused by red “Parade of Progress” GM Futurliner.

This was a real piece of Art Deco, towering automotive sculpture and its owners expected it would bring them around $600,000. However that time the lowest price was $4,100,000 and supercollector Ron Pratte was the last person standing after.

The area under the tent looked like Madison Square Garden so overcrowded and exited it was.

In comparison with that auto event this year edition was not so popular. It seemed that attendees were almost begged to bid up some lots.
Modern Futureliner is made in red, white, and blue and there is no doubt that this bus is as impressive as its ancestor which has brought so much money to its owners two years ago.

This Futureliner is the result of a 20-year project. It has a luxurious interior which includes an 8-foot bar, custom light fixtures, rear lounge and beautiful stainless trim on the bar surface and ceiling. The bid price of this truly special bus is over $1,000,000.
