2008 Mercedes-Benz CLC

Mercedes-Benz has officially represented the 2008 CLC-Class. The new car is the Euro-market successor to the C-Class Sports Coupe which is now out of auto history. This fact, by the way, should be clarified. When we say that C-Class Sports Coupe is defunct now, we do not imply the architecture of this vehicle, as its conception has been used in the new car. This shows us vividly that the CLC will not share underpinnings with the newcomer – C-Class.

Look at this car and you’ll understand that the Mercedes is willing to leave the past behind. The taillamps and the coupe profile bear the family features but still make feel quite different and new car.
The interior of new car is noticeably upgraded. It greets the passengers with such options as hard drive-based nav, DVD, iPod integration and an in-dash SD card slot. By the way, you can operate all the entertainment and navigation systems with voice only.

The car is offered with four alternative engines so you may choose between 2 gas and 2 diesel power plants all with high fuel economy. The six-speed manual gearboxes come as standard but those motorists who opt for automatics can have a 5-speed unit for 4-cylinder power plants.
The new CLC made in Brazil will appear on European auto markets in May. Now we do not have any information concerning US-market. The reason is that the last generation of Mercedes was not well sold in the USA.
