New Hybrid Version from Porsche

In order to meet rising demands of consumers for eco-friendly vehicles, the German luxury sports automaker Porsche intends to produce for its Cayenne SUV a hybrid drivetrain to lessen fuel consumption.

The automaker’s goal is to achieve 8.9 liters per 100 kilometers fuel consumption. The present Porsche Cayenne which is powered by conventional six-cylinder engine consumes around 12.9 liters. That is why this sport vehicle weighting over two tons is considered to be one of the worst carbon dioxide emitters.
