Hyundai - a Strong Enemy for Toyota?
It is very pleasant when your rivals not only acknowledge the fact of your existence but also consider you to be a real threat. Hyundai enjoyed this pleasant feeling when Toyota’s chairman Fujio Cho told to Korean press that it was a “strong enemy”.
It is really true. In North America Hyundai managed to turn from econo-boxes maker into a strong respected company which produces well-built cars sold for reasonable price. It also acts enthusiastically on markets in China, Africa and the Middle East.
That`s why not only Toyota felt a threat form Hyundai`s side. Still it is rather harsh to say “strong enemy”, isn`t it? Let`s better say “worthy competitor` or “respected adversary”.
