All New Jeep Liberty from Chrysler
The automakers represented the concept of new Jeep Liberty in April 2007. With every redesign the vehicle becomes larger and more rugged.
Now the car offers the increased cargo and storage space inside and improved seat comfort. Chrysler says the new Liberty is designed for customers who are looking for Jeep 4×4 capability but also for comfort and convenience. It is worked out for young couples and new families, but professional, young single men and women between 30 and 40 years of age are also in the area of attention, New Jeep’s on-road ride and handling is refined and improved. The car is peovided with the new independent front suspension, new five-link rear suspension and rack-and-pinion steering. However there is a totally new? property - this is full-open canvas roof option called “Sky-Slider”. It allows to ? really open up the interior and offers a very Wrangler like ambiance. Among other new upscale features are: remote start, rain-sensing wipers, memory seats and mirrors. To the vehicle ever-growing list of pluses and options the express up/down windows are added. The reason is that it offers? customers classic Jeep design, two four-wheel-drive systems, refined on-road ride and handling, cargo and utility. The all-new 2008 Jeep Liberty`s blend of on-road ride comfort and nimble, confidence-inspiring handling includes all-new independent front suspension, all-new five-link rear suspension, and a power rack-and-pinion steering system The vehicle has 3.7-liter SOHC V-6 engine which provides the new Jeep Liberty with competitive peak power and torque. At the same time it makes? the operation smooth and quiet and provides proven durability. It produces 210 hp and 235 lb.-ft. of torque. The car is more efficient and its fuel economy now achieves an estimated 16 and 22 mpg on the highway. In the United States one can choose between two transmissions on the Jeep Liberty: a six-speed manual transmission and a four-speed automatic transmission.
Safety is a very important point. The has a full set of active and passive safety systems. The standard vehicle equipment includes Electronic Stability Program, Electronic Roll Mitigation, All-speed Traction Control, Brake Assist, advanced anti-lock brakes, rain sensing wipers, Tire Pressure Monitoring, and side-curtain air bags.
The 2008 Jeep Liberty was built at the Toledo, Ohio North Assembly Plant. The car became available at dealerships in the third quarter of 2007.
