Sportec Audi S3
Swiss tuning house Sportec is offering a new go-fast edition of the Audi S3, already a superb compact flyer.
Sportec takes the turbocharged 2.0-liter T-FSI engine, adds some software tweaks and nudges output from 265 to 300 horsepower, with torque climbing from 258 to 302 pound-feet. Top speed rises slightly, from 160 to 165 mph, while 0-60-mph acceleration time is trimmed by nearly a second, to just under 5.1 seconds.
Other enhancements include the addition of a stainless-steel sport exhaust system, high-performance brakes, coil-over suspension and a choice of either 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels, shod with Continental Pneus.
In addition to some subtle exterior mods, Sportec’s package bundles aluminum pedals, a short-throw shifter and Alcantara upholstery.
