Land Rover goes soft

I’ve seen a lot of concepts in my short time as a car enthusiasts but even I was taken aback by this one. The LR concept is to appeal to the anti-SUV crowd while still retaining SUV. While the hybrid engine’s in the right place, the aluminum frame’s not exactly cheap. And “softening” an LR, whose rep is partially built on being tough, will alienate a large number of buyers.

Those wheels, though, do look wicked.
