B-Segment cars are what we in the U.S. would typically refer to as, "sub-compact".
C-Segment would be what we call "compact". Cars like the Honda Civic, Ford Focus, etc.

U.S. journalists have taken to calling sub-compacts by the European term and that is why you are hearing the name more and more.</description>
